Supporting local restaurants to Move What Matters
Feeding our communities has never been more important and we’re here to support our restaurant partners.
Most recently, we announced our Eat Local Support Effort, a $20M commitment, through various initiatives, to help support local restaurants. See what’s included in the commitment below.
At Uber Eats, we value the partnership of our local restaurants.
That’s why we’ve set aside $20M in 2021 for our Eat Local Support Effort meant to drive business to local restaurants throughout the year.

$0 Delivery Fee for the big game
To help drive business to local restaurants, we’re waiving the Delivery Fee for consumers ordering from local spots from February 3 to 7, 2021*.
In-app restaurant contributions
Uber Eats users in the US will be able to contribute to their favorite local restaurants at app checkout from February 3-7, 2021. Uber will match all customer restaurant contributions.
Use your own delivery staff
Keep your staff busy. For restaurants that deliver with their own delivery people, Uber will reimburse you for the delivery fees typically charged on orders completed by your staff. The payment will be in your account 3-4 days after the order was completed.
Restaurant relief grants
Uber Eats is donating $4.5 million to the Local Initiatives Support Corporation to distribute grants to local restaurants that are active on Uber Eats or Postmates.
0% restaurant fee for pickup orders
We're waiving the marketplace fee for restaurants on orders placed for pickup on Uber Eats through June 30, 2021.
0% restaurant fee for online ordering
We're waiving all restaurant fees for orders placed on a restaurant's website and delivered by Uber Eats through June 30, 2021.
$0 fee for daily payouts
To help create a more immediate source of cash flow for restaurants, we’re enabling free daily payouts through June 30, 2021.
The impact of delivery during COVID-19
We worked with Technomic, an industry leader, to better understand how our restaurant partners think about third-party delivery, what they’ve valued most about Uber Eats, and what we should be doing differently during these unprecedented times.
